Terms & Conditions

Welcome to A Class Real Rentals. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the rental of vehicles from A Class Real Rentals ("we," "us," "our," or "A Class Real Rentals") to you, the Renter ("you" or "Renter"). By booking and renting a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Renter and A Class Real Rentals regarding the rental of a vehicle. Any amendments or modifications to these Terms must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

2. Insurance Policy

The rates include FULL INSURANCE with a maximum excess of €450.

INSURANCE INCLUDES:

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Your liability for vehicle damage is limited to a maximum of €450.
  • Theft Protection (T.P): Limits your liability to €450 in case of theft. Excludes keys, GPS, and personal belongings.
  • Fire and Third-Party Liability: All authorized drivers are covered against fire and liability for death, injury, or damage to third-party property.

INSURANCE EXCLUDES:

Renters are liable for the full cost of repairs or replacement if the damage results from violations of the Road Traffic Code or if the car has been driven:

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • By an unauthorized person (not listed on the contract).
  • On non-surfaced (non-tarmac) roads.
  • Additional Exclusions: Damage to the clutch disk, the interior of the car, tires, windows, and the undercarriage.

Important Note: In case of any damage, do not move the car and call us immediately; otherwise, the insurance coverage may be void and the renter will be responsible for all costs.

2.3. General Exclusions and Renter's Liabilities

Notwithstanding any insurance coverage, the Renter will be held liable for the full cost of repairs or replacement of damages if such damages result from:

  • Violations of Greek Road Traffic Code.
  • Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Driving by an unauthorized person (anyone not listed as an authorized driver on the rental agreement).
  • Driving on non-surfaced (non-tarmac) roads.
  • Damage to the clutch disk due to improper use.
  • Damage due to reckless driving, intentional misuse, or negligence of the vehicle.
  • Damage to the car's roof or interior (as these are not covered by any available insurance).
  • Failure to report an accident or damage immediately to A Class Real Rentals and the local police (if required by law).

2.4. Accident and Damage Procedure

In case of any damage, accident, or breakdown, the Renter must:

  1. Not move the vehicle (unless absolutely necessary for safety).
  2. Immediately contact A Class Real Rentals.
  3. Obtain a police report if required by law or requested by A Class Real Rentals.
  4. Failure to follow these procedures may void all insurance coverage, and the Renter will be responsible for the full cost of damages.

3. Kilometer Limitation

A Class Real Rentals offers unlimited kilometers for all rentals within Zakynthos Island. Transporting the vehicle outside Zakynthos is prohibited (see Section 11).

4. Taxes

All quoted rental prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate of 24%.

5. Traffic Violation Fines and Administrative Sanctions

Any tickets, fines, or administrative sanctions incurred due to violations of Greek Traffic Law during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the Renter. If any such sanctions are not disclosed to A Class Real Rentals at the end of the rental period, the violation will be charged to the Renter, potentially with an additional administration fee of €25 to cover processing costs.

6. Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental period.

  • Overfilling: A Class Real Rentals does not provide refunds for incorrectly overfilling the fuel tank or for returning the vehicle with more fuel than received.
  • Underfilling: If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the Renter will be charged for the missing fuel at the prevailing local rate, plus a refueling service charge of €15.

7. Rental Length

  • The minimum rental period is 2 days.
  • Delays in Returning the Vehicle:
    • The first hour of delay beyond the agreed return time is free of charge.
    • Delays exceeding 2 hours will result in a charge equivalent to an additional day's rental rate.

8. Driver's License

  • Drivers must possess a valid full driving license held for at least one (1) year.
  • An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required for non-European Union citizens or those whose national driving license is not written in English or Greek. The IDP must always be accompanied by the original national driving license.

9. Age Requirement

  • The primary Renter and any authorized additional drivers must be a minimum of 18 years old for cars and 21 years old for quad bikes.
  • To be fully covered by all insurance policies, drivers must be under 75 years old.

10. Ferrying of the Car

Our vehicles are strictly prohibited from being transported by ferry outside of Zakynthos Island. Any breach of this condition will result in the immediate voiding of all insurance coverage, and the Renter will be fully responsible for any damages, costs, or liabilities incurred.

11. Delivery and Collection

  • Delivery and collection services are provided free of charge at all designated destinations within Zakynthos (e.g., airport, port, hotels).
  • After-Hours Service: After-hours delivery and collection (between 23:00 and 05:00) are subject to an additional charge of €20.

12. Booked Car Availability

In the unlikely event that the specific vehicle booked is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., car damage, maintenance, lack of availability, natural disasters), A Class Real Rentals reserves the right to replace it with a vehicle of the same or a higher category at no additional cost to the Renter.

13. Cancellation Policy

Renters have the option to cancel their booking at any time.

14. Optional Extras

  • Baby/Child Seats: Available upon request at no extra charge. Please specify the age/weight of the child when booking.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zakynthos, Greece.
